Ice Mobility FAQ's

Ice Mobility
Q) I am not a registered carer but would like to accompany a friend/family member on the ice. Do I still qualify as a carer?

A) Yes, a carer is anybody that will be on the ice with a disabled person. Additional friends and family members may also skate but will pay the normal adult and child rate. We allow one carer per disabled customer.

Q) Do you allow members of the public onto this session?
A) We advertise the session for Ice Mobility users only, so do not usually allow members of the public onto the session. If the session is extremely quiet, there may be times when a few general skaters will be allowed entry. We only allow a limited number of wheelchairs and skaters onto the ice, so this is very rare.

Q) How many wheelchairs can you have on the ice at any one time?
A) We are insured to have a maximum of 25 wheelchairs and 25 skaters on the ice at any one time during Ice Mobility.

Q) What if I don't have a carer to accompany me on the ice?
A) Its no problem! If you don't need anybody to assist you, you are more than welcome to skate alone. However if you need some help, you can hire an Ice Steward to help you. Ice Steward Hire costs £19 for a 90minute session. Ice Stewards must be booked at least a week in advance. We regret that we cannot guarantee that somebody will be available, however, with notice it is not usually a problem.
