Job description: Plymouth Pavilions is the South West’s premier entertainment, leisure and conference centre attracting over 500,000 visitors each year to its Arena and Ice Rink, and its Visitor Services team are looking to recruit a number of team members on a casual contract.

The role is to provide an excellent level of service to visitors of Plymouth Pavilions, whilst ensuring their safety and wellbeing, whether Stewarding in the Arena or serving from the numerous retail outlets including Cafes, Bars, Cloakrooms and Merchandise Stands

Candidates should be polite, of smart appearance, have excellent customer service and communication skills, as well as experience of working as part of a team. Previous experience in a similar customer service related position is preferred.

Due to licensing laws, applicants must be at least 18 years of age. All staff are expected to work to a rota that includes shifts throughout the day, evenings and weekends.

This is an exciting opportunity for a person who is highly motivated and enthusiastic. You will need to be adaptable and organised.

Salary: £16,500 per annum, 40 hours per week
Job description: Plymouth Pavilions is the South West’s leading live entertainment venue, also encompassing the South West’s only permanent Ice Rink and the city’s largest conference and banqueting space. With a varied and eclectic range of live acts taking to the Pavilions Arena stage throughout the year, from comedy to rock to ballet, the venue welcomes over 100k customers every year. The Pavilions Marketing Department is a dynamic and fast paced department, working across both the Arena programme and Ice marketing needs of the organisation. With an exciting future ahead, the department is poised to develop its marketing strategy further, and build and grow its already excellent reputation amongst national show promoters and external stakeholders. As our Marketing Assistant you will work as part of a close knit team, and with no day ever the same, you will be working across a broad spectrum of marketing mediums and campaigns. Your workload will include website content management, social media marketing, email marketing, design, creative copy writing and more! You will need to be creative and extremely organised with great attention to detail, as well as being proactive in seeking out new ideas and opportunities for the department. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an exciting environment, working on a broad range of marketing!
