PAVILIONS INTRODUCES IS PROUD TO HOST PATTERN PUSHER, SAM RICHARDSON and the RENEGADES with THE TREES
Pattern Pusher are a fun-loving three piece that will fill you with warm summer hooks. They are a quirky band. A keys player with soaring vocals, a bouncing bassist and a drummer full of disco beats. Their crusade of happiness has earned them a loyal fan base, accolades from BBC Radio 6, and a string of festival shows; now lining up on the same bills as their idols. “Strong classic songwriting from start to finish” - Tom Robinson (BBC 6 Music) “Synth-based dance, with outstanding vocals” - Louder Than War “Best live band not only in the county, I’d watch Pattern Pusher four times a week if I could, I’ve seen them like 20 times now!’ - Sarah Gosling (BBC Music Introducing Devon) “Fresh, funky and downright addictive” - Born Music Online “'Indie-boogie that is draped in disco” - Clunk Magazine
Sam Richardson and The Renegades are a soaring 4 piece roots-rock band hailing from the rugged north coast of Cornwall. Sam’s songs are reminiscent of the days when imagery and stories played a key role in the songwriting process and the band’s evocative, euphoric live performance has left its mark on audiences across the UK. Glastonbury Festival founder and industry legend, Michael Eavis has selected the band to support Mercury Prize winning band Wolf Alice, to 8,000 fans at The Pilton Party 2019 festival on Worthy Farm in September. 2017 and 2018 was filled with festivals, radio airplay, headline shows and support slots (including 5 nights opening for Newton Faulkner) and saw the release of Sam’s debut 6 track EP ‘Atlantic Highway’. Previous years have seen airplay and interviews for BBC Radio 1, theater performances for Amnesty International alongside artists such as Gary Lightbody (lead singer of Snow Patrol) to audiences including: Sir Patrick Stewart, Jeremy Irons, Snow Patrol and The Kaiser Chiefs. Mixing the driven, cinematic stylings of Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty and Jackson Browne results in emotive and exciting songs that make you want to turn up your radio, and drive out into an unending summer night. Find yourself captivated by tales of fugitives, redemption, desperation and watch a stage of some of the best musicians the South-West has to offer, empty the tank. Sam Richardson and The Renegades are a band not to be missed.
A new all-woman collective from renowned Plymouth musicians Becca Langsford, Elani Evangelou, Alex Hart and Martha Nash. Together, four incredibly talented women have come together to share their influences and experience to create a collective of musicians and form one of the only current all female bands in Plymouth. Each are well experienced in their own right and some have toured extensively on their own worldwide and with the likes of Martin Barre from Jethro Tull including many other projects over 17 years. The Trees introduce a new meaning to the term “girl band”, fusing intense vocal polyphony with rootsy strings, beats and buckets of passion. Be sure not to miss out on this new folk/soul/roots project!
